Meet our coach - Brian Menhennet
Brian Menhennet's journey in soccer began in his youth, leading him to play at the highest level with the Guam National Team. His passion for the game deepened when his son started playing soccer at age four, inspiring Brian to dedicate much of his adult life to coaching and learning more about teaching the sport.
Brian’s coaching philosophy emphasizes player autonomy and empathetic listening, believing that when players feel their growth is prioritized, they become more motivated. He encourages young players to develop a passion for the game and a constant desire to learn.
At Florida Rush Soccer, Brian values the strong support from the club's leadership and directors. His goals for his team this season include fostering a love for the game, having fun, and growing together as a team.
Beyond soccer, Brian's life revolves around his family, and he cherishes spending time with them, especially at Disney. A foster child who lived in an orphanage, Brian’s personal journey has instilled in him resilience, a quality he aims to pass on to his players. Inspired recently by the documentary "Beckham," Brian is also passionate about helping young players focus on what they can control and find joy in the game.
